Professor | Facilitator | Translator | Mentor
Welcome!
I am a PhD candidate, professor, trainer/facilitator, and freelancer working within a decolonial praxis, grounded in critical race theory and social justice, anti-racist foundations. Through education, I seek to empower young adults to find their power in spite of oppression and injustices we face constantly in our lives. While sharing practical tools and critical thinking skills, like effective writing and English language skills, my goal is to empower by tapping into the talents students already have within them.
My personal critical race and social justice lens works within understanding that the world systems we live within are set up to disempower and control black and brown folks, immigrants, the neurodiverse, and other non-normative identified folks. As educators, we must fight against the racist, oppressive systems that organize our education and social lives by sharing with students how to access their own power for liberation. Because all learners come from their own lived realities and boundaries, my effort is to engage students and youth in those spaces and share tools to move toward decolonial healing and freedom through empowerment.
